We have an opportunity for an effective and dynamic Network Engineer to join our IT team at a really exciting time when we are modernising all areas of IT in the midst of our digital transformation journey. The Network Engineer will play a key role in our digital transformation journey, ensuring our network and security infrastructure is fit-for-purpose for our customers & internal stakeholders.

- Technical Skills: Experience or knowledge of network design, installation, configuration, and administration, using various protocols and devices. Familiarity with network security principles and practices, such as firewalls, VPNs, encryption, and authentication and awareness of retail industry standards and regulations, such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, and ISO 27001.
- Experience: Relevant on-the-job experience gained in a large multi-site organisation and/or relevant qualification (e.g. computer science or engineering). Understanding of non-network infrastructure components and processes (e.g. IITL) would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting with planning and implementing network solutions for new and existing sites, including LAN, WAN, wireless, and security components and active directory.
- Solving and troubleshooting network issues, such as connectivity, performance, and security.
- Monitoring and reporting on network performance and availability using various tools and methods.
- Developing network documentation, policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborating with vendors, suppliers, and service providers for network equipment and services.
- Delivering technical support and guidance to end users and other IT colleagues.
- Upskilling regularly on the latest network technologies and trends.
