The Role: We are looking for an enthusiastic HSEQ Advisor to join our team and take charge of creating a safe, high-quality operational environment within our Heiton Steel division. You’ll work closely with teams in locations across Ireland to ensure that our commitment to safety and regulatory compliance is upheld at the highest level. You’ll also play a crucial role in upholding and achieving accreditations, including ISO and CARES certifications, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Location: Heiton Steel (Chadwicks Group)
Hours: Full-time, 39 hours/week, Monday to Friday
What You’ll Do:
- Health & Safety Leadership: Work with management and staff to promote safe practices, reduce incidents, and maintain compliance with safety policies.
- Standards and Audits: Implement and maintain ISO and CARES standards; conduct regular HS&E audits across all Cut & Bend locations and carry out Branch support visits and checks.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with teams to review and improve safety procedures, driving best practices across our branches in Bishopstown, Cork, Ballysimon, and more.
- Continuous Improvement Culture: Engage teams in identifying areas for improvement and encourage proactive solutions.
- Compliance Management: Keep up to date with regulatory standards, ensuring full compliance with HSEQ policies.
What You’ll Bring:
- A strong background in Quality Management and Occupational Health & Safety.
- Experience with ISO standards (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001) and CARES certifications, ideally with a background in steel or manufacturing.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with various departments and building strong stakeholder relationships.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for teamwork and initiative.
- Attention to detail and strong skills in Word and Excel.
