We have an opportunity for an effective and forward-thinking HR Manager to join our HR Team. As HR Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving our People strategy to attract and retain the best talent available.

 

Based in our Support Office in Tallaght, you will lead the HR Ops team and collaborate with leaders and colleagues across the business to ensure our HR plans best meet the needs of our business & colleagues.

 

Our ideal candidate:

  • Leadership Expertise: Proven experience in a senior HR role, preferably in a multi-site retail environment, demonstrating exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Strategic: Thorough understanding of retail operations & labour market dynamics, with exceptional strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Employee Relations: Adept at advising on complex ER matters, up to and including WRC/Labour Court cases.
  • Project Management: Demonstrable experience leading large change initiatives across People, Processes and HRIS.
  • Collaboration Skills: Effective communication and collaboration abilities, with the capability to work seamlessly with cross-functional partners. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify areas for improvement within the HR function and develop new efficiencies to support the business.
  • Proactively source new development opportunities for yourself to ensure you are kept up to date with the most recent industry advances.
  • Support the development and delivery of the HR Business Plan.
  • Lead and inspire the HR Ops team to deliver and excel on areas defined in our HR Business Plan.
  • Capable of achieving buy-In and support for HR strategies across all levels of the business.
  • Be adept at data analysis and reporting to provide relevant insights & recommendations
  • Lead the annual Talent Management & Succession Planning approach
  • Development and implementation of HR strategy In conjunction with the Chief People Officer.
  • Support and coach management teams to deliver consistent and fair procedures in relation to industrial/ employee relations.
  • Coach and support HR advisors on employee relations issues for their specific stores/region.
  • Management and reporting of HR KPI’s.
  • Updating Company policies and procedures when required.
  • Work closely with CFO and CPO to set, review and monitor the HR/ER annual budgets.
  • Escalation point for Regional Managers, Department Managers and Store Managers to support Woodie’s people agenda
  • Work closely with external suppliers to ensure we have the best offering for our business and colleagues.
  • Develop and support the HR team to coach and feedback on leadership development.
  • Actively contribute to the growth of the business through people.
